RiskPoint M&A is delighted to announce the growth of its contingent risks team with the appointment of Joanna Bailie as Head of Contingent Risks, Europe
Joanna joins the RiskPoint team as of 28th February 2022 from her previous role as Investment Manager at Augusta Ventures Limited, the UK’s largest litigation funder by volume of cases funded. Prior to joining Augusta, Joanna spent over ten years as a Commercial Litigator at Stewarts and at Ashurst. During her time in private practice, Joanna gained extensive experience of high-value, often cross-border claims, with a particular emphasis on banking and securities litigation, complex fraud and asset tracing claims, as well as professional negligence and insolvency disputes.
Joanna will be based in our London office but will be part of our global underwriting team.
We are delighted to add Joanna’s considerable litigation experience to our existing offering of specific and stand-alone contingent, tax and other “special risk” policies. Joanna’s combination of private practice litigation experience and work as a litigation funder make her perfectly suited to assessing the value of risk on these matters and we look forward to supporting her as she develops and grows this area of our practice. Joanna will lead our European contingent risks practice with support from the existing contingent risks team of Tanya Nash (Chief Underwriting Officer, M&A Europe), Christian Kartnes (Senior Underwriter/Partner) and Julia Hübner (Underwriter, Tax Specialist) and others on the wider M&A Team
